    Official Rules

    1. Eligibility: Open to the legal residents of the United Kingdom who are 18 years of age or older. Employees, officers and directors of Luxottica UK Limited ("Sponsor"), its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, or production agencies, web masters/suppliers and their dependents and immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings) and individuals residing in their same household, (whether or not related) are not eligible to participate. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules. Void outside the United Kingdom where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law.

    2. Contest Period: The RAY-BAN® #CAMPAIGN4CHANGE Contest (the “Contest”) begins at 09:00:01 am CET on April 8th 2015, and ends at 9:00:00am CET on August 26th 2015 (the “Contest Period”).

    3. How to Enter: During the Contest Period, Users should visitthe RAY-BAN website at and follow the instructions to register and create an entry. Users will be asked to register creating his account (name, surname, email and password). Next, select one out of the 5 categories provided, add text and choose patterns/illustrations among those provided to create an image demonstrating the Change. Once submitted, the entry will be subject a moderation process before it is published on the platform and the Sponsor will monitor its content as set out in clause 4 of these terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with these Official Rules and/or all relevant laws. If approved, it will be posted in the Changes wall on the website and the user will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Contest. There is no limit on the number of entries per person and each entry will be singularly evaluated by the jury. Entries will be reviewed for compliance with these Official Rules. All entries must represent a bona fide attempt by the entrant to submit an entry which is within the scope of this contest according to the natural meaning of the words used in connection with these terms and conditions.

    4. Content Restrictions: When uploaded, your content will be moderated by Sponsor and, if content is in compliance with these Official Rules, shared at Content may not be illegal, offensive, insulting, defamatory, slanderous, pornographic, immoral, vulgar, obscene, or blasphemous, may not in any way violate principles of public order and morality or potentially cause damage in any way to minors; may not be illegal for any reason. Any illegal behavior as well as any behavior that may result in danger to third party might be reported to the competent authorities. Content may not contain trademarks other than Ray-Ban, or any advertising, promotional materials or other messages not relevant to the brand. Content must not violate the laws in force – including but not limited to copyright law, privacy, and data protection law – or contain distinctive marks, intellectual or industrial property rights or other third-party rights. Any User whose entry has been rejected or disqualified pursuant to this clause 4 shall be notified by email of that fact by the Sponsor of such rejection or disqualification. It is not Luxottica’s responsibility if the email does not arrive for reasons which are not linked to correct functioning of the website, for example should the user’s mailbox stop receiving the email, or it is received in the junk mail box.

    Users must have permission from all individuals who appear in the shared or uploaded content (if any) to use their name and likeness in the entry and to grant the rights set forth herein. If requested, Users must be able to provide such permissions in a form acceptable to Sponsor. If Sponsor deems content to be invalid for any reason, your content will not be posted and participants will not receive an entry into the Contest.

    Entry Limit: For each entry submitted, you will receive one (1) entry to the Contest during the Contest Period. Multiple Users are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any User to obtain more than one (1) Contest entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods in respect of the same submission will void that entrant's entries and that User may be disqualified in respect of all entries submitted by that User. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the User. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being an authorized account holder.

    Right to Use Content: Uploading content constitutes Users’ consent to give Sponsor a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display such content in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, including for promotional or marketing purposes. If requested, Users will sign any documentation that may be required for Sponsor or its designees to make use of the non-exclusive rights User is granting to use the content. In Sponsor’s sole opinion, content which does not meet any of these requirements and/or which Sponsor deems negative, offensive or controversial in any way, might be removed

    Film and Image Release: Information provided by Users and/or winners in the entry form (and any other information provided by them) may be used in connection with publicity to do with the event, the competition or the Sponsor. The Sponsor and other associated parties may photograph or film at events associated with this competition and any associated activities for advertising, promotional or other commercial purposes. Users hereby consent and agree that photographs, film and video may be taken whilst participating in any activities associated with the event or any other associated activities or events. Each User and each Winner irrevocably grants Sponsor, its corporate affiliates, and any third party commercial partners the right, indefinitely throughout the world, without any expectation of compensation, to use the photograph, video or film portrayal, image, likeness and voice in any media, including but not limited to, television, the internet (including without limitation internet streaming), product catalogues and brochures, point of sale merchandise, videos and displays, and any other printed or written material in connection therewith for the purpose of advertising, promoting, marketing and selling products or promoting the contest or any event associated with the contest and/or the Sponsor.

    5. Judging and Selection of Winners: Users who have created their user page and submitted their entry or entries will be eligible to win one or more of the following prizes:

    1. Ten (10) winners will get campaign shout outs by Ray-Ban on selected social media platforms Five (5) of these will be selected by 31 May 2015. A further five (5) will be selected from all entries available by 15 July 2015

    2. Five (5) winners will be selected on 30 June 2015 to get their campaign advertised or featured in the front windows of Ray-Ban concept stores in Covent Garden, London and Soho, New York;

    3. Three (3) winners will be selected on 20 August 2015 to get a sponsored and paid for advertising campaign involving Facebook;

    4. One (1) winner (plus guest) will be selected on 15 September 2015 to receive the grand prize of a trip to New York to attend an exclusive Ray-Ban event with his or her campaign#4change projected on Time Square in New York.

    Each entry and each prize will be judged and weighted as follows by the Sponsor’s Judging Panel (or jury), to be convened separately on each occasion, to select the winners based on the following criteria:

    · Relevance to Challenge: (34%)

    · Content Creativity: (33%)

    · Brand Values and Character: (33%)

    Further details are available at clause 7 of these terms and conditions. The User with the overall highest score will be deemed to be the potential Grand Prize winner, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the Official Rules. The decisions of the Judging Panel are final. The jury will contain at least one person who is in all respects independent. The full list of judges is available on request.

    Each jury or judging panel convened under these Official Rules is likely to be made up of different judges. In considering the allocation of prizes, each jury will consider each entry afresh without regard to the results of other determinations by juries under these Official Rules. Entrants acknowledge that the selection of winners involves an element of subjectivity which presupposes scope for difference of opinion. Therefore the fact that an entry might be successful in receiving one prize does not mean that the same result would be achieved by another jury. Each jury will have the freedom to award each individual prize as it sees fit without regard to the decisions of other juries.

    6. Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie, the entry with the highest score in Creativity will be deemed the winner.

    7. Notification: Each winner will be contacted within 15 days of judging. Potential Grand Prize winner will be contacted on or before September 30th, 2015. All winners will be contacted by e-mail, and will be required to satisfactorily complete and return a Confirmation of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity Release/Proof of Age (“Confirmation”), unless prohibited by law. The Confirmation must be returned within 48 hours of provision of the document. In completing the Confirmation the potential winner may be required to provide proof of identification and age. Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to send copies of his/her passport, driver’s license, birth certificate or other appropriate documentation (acceptable to Sponsor) as proof of age and residency. Non-compliance with any of these requirements will result in disqualification, forfeiture of the prize and the selection of an alternate winner. Return of prize notification and/or Confirmations undeliverable will result in disqualification, forfeiture of the prize and the selection of an alternate winner. The Sponsor may then offer such prize alternatively to the entrants who have received the second and third highest scores, respectively, for their entries according to the decision of the judges, to be offered in that order. Only two attempts to offer the prize to alternate recipients will be made. . If attempts fail, any unclaimed prize may not be awarded at the sole discretion of Sponsor, or may be distributed under clause 11.5 hereof. Prize recipient shall not be permitted to: (a) replace his/her designated prize with another prize or item; (b) redeem the prize for cash; or, (c) transfer or assign his/her designated prize to another person. Any taxes on the prizes or the receipt of the prizes are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner.

    8. Prize: As set out in clause 5 hereof, there shall be One (1) Grand Prize winner who will be entitled (subject to these terms and conditions) to receive a trip for two (2) to an exclusive Ray-Ban event that will take place in New York (USA) in the month of October 2015. The winner and his/her guest will fly business class to New York, will be hosted for three (3) nights in a 4-Star hotel with full board (i. e. including meals at the selected hotel),, and will receive VIP tickets to the Ray-Ban event.. The Grand Prize winner and their guest will need to have all relevant documents required to travel to New York in due order. Any failure of the winner or guest to be able to enter the USA shall not be the responsibility of Sponsor. The winner and guest must at the time of entry to the competition, and in October 2015 hold a valid passport to allow them to travel to New York to attend the Grand Prize event in October 2015. They must also be eligible to obtain a visa to enter into the United States of America if required and must attend the Ray-Ban event in New York itself. In addition, the Grand Prize winner will have his/her entry displayed on a billboard in Times Square.

    In addition between June and August 2015 the Sponsor’s jury will select (according to the criteria mentioned above) ten (10) “changes” submissions which will receive a “shout-out” on all Ray-Ban Social Media platforms during the same period. By the end of August 2015 Jury will select five (5) changes which will be featured in the front windows of Ray-Ban flagship stores in London and New York in the month of September, and it will select three (3) changes which will be featured in a Facebook advertising campaign in the same period.

    Grand Prize Winner and traveling companion must travel on the same itinerary and traveling companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and of the age of majority in their state of residence. Winner of the #Campaign4change parties must travel during the month of June or July 2015, or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate. No other dates will be accommodated. The winner of the Grand Prize must travel during the month of October 2015, or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate. No other dates will be accommodated.

    In addition, a minimum of fifty (50) entrants will each receive a pair of general admission tickets for themselves and a guest to attend Ray-Ban #Campaign4change party in the months of June and/or July 2015. Sponsor reserves the right to hold more than one such party in its discretion. These prizes do not include any travel, accommodation or other costs of any nature whatsoever and are merely for the tickets themselves. Each such winner and their guest will need to have all relevant documents required to travel to the event, in due order. Further, each entrant may only receive one pair of these fifty (50) pairs of tickets. The winners of these one fifty (50) pairs of tickets will be selected on 18th June by a jury convened by the Sponsor for the purpose of making the selection. Sponsor reserves the right to offer additional tickets to the event, subject to availability, to other entrants, in the sole discretion of Sponsor. .

    The jury will apply the following criteria to the selection of the winners of these fifty (50) pairs of tickets:

    (a) The jury will determine, in its sole discretion, whether each relevant entry complies with these terms and conditions and whether it is suitable to be utilized in conjunction with the promotion of the Ray-Ban brand;

    (b) The jury will then select a minimum of fifty (50) entries from those according to the percentage criteria set out in clause 5 of these Official Rules;

    (c) In making such determination the jury will consider all entries afresh regardless of any views or determinations of any other juries which may have considered such entries in the context of this competition in relation to other prizes available to entrants. Entrants acknowledge that the constitution of juries vested under these Official Rules may not be the same from time to time and that the selection of winners involves an element of subjectivity. Therefore the fact that an entry might be judged as successful by one jury does not mean that the same result would be necessarily achieved by another jury.

    (d) All winners will be notified by email and will be required to claim the prize of the tickets within 5 days of the email notification being sent. Failure to claim the prize within that time will result in the prize being forfeited by the winner, in which case the Sponsor may reallocate the prize or gift it to a third party in its discretion, or may decline to hand out the prize at all.

    No refund or compensation will be made for any of the prizes offered in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight or other travel. In respect of the Grand Prize, travel and accommodations are subject to availability and any travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Contest, and (where applicable) those set forth by the Sponsor’s airline carrier of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the respective package descriptions above, including but not limited to, additional ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, airline fees, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes (other than hotel room taxes) or other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. Potential winner and traveling companion must, if required by Sponsor, execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of travel documents. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply.Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates.

    Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected, time permitting. No substitution, cash redemption or transfer of any prize by the winner is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. All or any taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

    Any and each winner agrees to abide by the reasonable directions of Sponsor and to conduct himself or herself appropriately at all times in connection with his/her participation at any event associated with this Contest.

    9. Release: By entry to the Contest and/or the receipt of any prize, winners agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective affiliated companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or useor misuse of any prize. This release is not intended to preclude any claim for damages for personal injury or death.

    10. Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes each winner’s consent to Sponsor’s and its agents’ use of winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or personal data in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.

    11. General Conditions:

    11.1Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

    11.2Any uploaded Content must not contain viruses or any software aimed at damaging or interfering in any way with or the functionalities of the Sponsor’s servers, or any software used to access data or other information and communications stored in such servers.

    11.3Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of this or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    11.4Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

    11.5In the event that there are insufficient entries or winners amongst whom to distribute any or all of the prizes referred to in these Official Rules, the Sponsor reserves the right to hand out any unclaimed prizes, at its discretion, to unsuccessful entrants who shall be chosen at random by an independent person or electronic process.

    12. Limitations of Liability: Sponsor (including its servants and agents) is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any damage to property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or useor misuse of any prize. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Contest, if it is possible. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded.


    13. Choice of Law: This Contest is governed by the laws of England and Wales. As a condition of participating in this Contest, Users agree that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in England.In the event any provision of these Official Rules will be held to be unenforceable, these Official Rules will continue in full force and effect without such provision, provided that the overall meaning and effect of these Official Rules are not thereby materially altered. These Official Rules are intended to be the complete, final and exclusive statement of the terms of the agreement between each Entrant and the Sponsor relating to the subject matter hereof.

    14. Data Collection: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about entrants online, in accordance with its privacy policy. Please review the Sponsor’s Global Privacy Policy at By participating in the Contest, entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s privacy policy.     All personal information relating to Users and Winners collected by or on behalf of Sponsor from each person can be identified will be recorded electronically and will be used at times in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998. Sponsor may transfer personal information to any company within its group and these may be based outside the European Economic Area. Each User and Winner hereby consents to the transfer of his/her personal information outside the European Economic Area. Sponsor will not disclose any such information to third parties save as expressly stated under these Rules. Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the privacy policy of the promoter which may be found at Entrance may be followed up with news on other related activities or events.
